It all started at Lakeshore church camp summer of 2010. Gabe was highly impressed with how well I could throw a spiral (thx, mom), & we became fast friends. Gabe and I stayed close through the rest of our high school years whether it was catch-up phone calls, weeks at camp, or meeting up in Jackson for bowling & Outback. 

 

College came, and we both became extremely busy only checking up on each other every couple of weeks with basic small talk and the occasional boxing weekend visit.

 

Fast forward two years: we began talking more and more every week. I was ready to move forward with our relationship, but Gabe wasn't making any moves (typical). I decided to stop answering texts and phone calls to see how much he really cared. After a couple of days and a dozen unanswered texts, Gabe said "What do I have to do to get you to talk to me?" & I replied "Drive to Oxford" definitely not expecting him to. Sure enough he showed up at my door at 3 AM. After a few dates, Gabe officially asked me to be his girlfriend at a Mustache concert.

Gabe proposed at our resort in Cabo. I was miserably sunburnt, the champagne he ordered to the room never showed up, he was wearing a ridiculous pair of white linen pants that he bought at the gift shop after realizing he didn't pack any (our resort's restaurants had a dress code), but it was absolutely perfect.

 

We are so excited for this season of life and beyond ready to celebrate with our friends and family!
